WC Floors – Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 2025
These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) apply to all flooring, refinishing, installation, molding, staircase, and related services provided by WC Floors LLC (“WC Floors,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By hiring WC Floors, requesting an estimate, scheduling a service, or allowing our team to perform work at your property, you acknowledge and agree to all terms listed below.
This Agreement protects both you and WC Floors by establishing clear expectations and responsibilities.
1. Estimates & Pricing
-
All estimates are based on information available at the time of inspection.
-
Pricing may change if hidden conditions are discovered once work begins (e.g., subfloor damage, water damage, structural issues, pet stains, excessive leveling needs).
-
Additional work outside the original estimate will require a change order, which must be approved by the homeowner.
-
Estimates do not include moving heavy items such as pianos, pool tables, gym equipment, or safes unless specified.
2. Scheduling & Job Timeline
-
Project start dates may shift based on material delivery, weather conditions, job complexity, or delays from previous ongoing projects.
-
WC Floors is not responsible for delays caused by:
-
Customer not preparing the space
-
Other contractors working in the home
-
Late customer decisions regarding stain color, materials, or finishes
-
-
Estimated timelines are approximate; drying and curing times depend on humidity, temperature, airflow, and product type.
3. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth and successful project, customers agree to:
-
Provide full access to the property during scheduled working hours.
-
Remove all furniture, décor, electronics, fragile items, and valuables from work areas unless otherwise specified.
-
Ensure pets and children remain away from work areas for safety.
-
Approve stain color before application; WC Floors is not responsible for color dissatisfaction once the color is approved.
-
Maintain consistent temperature and ventilation for proper drying and curing.
-
Provide clear and safe access to the circuit breaker panel so the WC Floors team can connect the required 220V power for professional sanding machines.
-
Ensure that the electrical panel is functional and accessible. Delays caused by lack of access, blocked panels, or unsafe electrical conditions may result in additional charges or rescheduling.
-
Ensure all areas are ready for work; additional charges may apply if WC Floors must move items or perform prep not included in the estimate.
4. Dust, Odors & Environmental Conditions
-
WC Floors uses dustless sanding equipment, but no system is 100% dust-free. Minor dust may settle after completion.
-
Stains, finishes, and adhesives may produce temporary odors. Customers should ventilate the home and avoid the area during and after application.
-
Dry and cure times may vary significantly based on environmental conditions. WC Floors is not responsible for extended cure times.
5. Staircase & Floor Refinishing Conditions
-
Final appearance depends on wood species, grain variations, previous finishes, adhesives, and natural inconsistencies.
-
Deep pet stains, water damage, or severe discoloration may remain visible even after refinishing.
-
Slight color variations between new and old wood are normal.
-
Minor imperfections are expected in natural wood floors.
6. Materials & Product Selection
-
Customers are responsible for choosing flooring materials, stain colors, finishes, and tile types.
-
WC Floors is not responsible for:
-
Manufacturer defects
-
Backorders
-
Delays caused by customer-supplied materials
-
-
If a customer provides their own materials, WC Floors is not responsible for shortages, defects, or delays caused by those materials.
